In case of trauma if tooth comes out of socket, what will you do?
|
The tooth should be immediately soaked in milk or saline or best placed inside the socket and bought to the dentist.

In case the patient is unable to close the mouth after yawning what should be done
? |
This is a simple case of dislocation of mandible and the patient should be immediately brought to the dental clinic where the condition can be treated by manual reduction and extra-oral bandage. Furthermore physiotherapy is advised and the patient is trained to limit mandibular movements.

Will my eyes be affected after extraction ? |
No the eyes will not be affected as the nerve supply of the teeth are different and that of eyes are different.

What will you do when fracture of mandible or maxilla occurs
? |
-
First of all bleeding should be stopped.
- Secondly treatment should be given.
- Rush to nearest emergency as early as possible to rule out head injury and other emergency regarding airway, hemorrhage, etc.
- The patient has to report to maxillofacial surgery for management of fracture.

What care should be taken after extraction of a tooth
? |
- Cotton pack should be kept in place and pressed for at least 40 minutes.
- Spitting should be avoided for 24 hours.
- Consumption of hot hard food and use of straw should be avoided.
- Warm saline rinses is recommended after 24 hours for 2 to 3 days.
