Website link for Health & Family Welfare department of Govt. of NCT of Delhi. The Department caters to health needs of nearly 130 lakh population of the ever-growing metropolis and also has to share the burden of migratory as well as floating population from neighboring states which constitute nearly 33% of total intake at major hospitals in Delhi. The department plays a significant role and is committed to provide health care facilities to the people of Delhi.

The Maulana Azad Medical College is situated in the capital city of Delhi. It straddles the historic old city of Delhi on one side and the more modern Lutyen's Delhi on the other. The sprawling campus includes the college and three of its major associated hospitals namely Lok Nayak Hospital and GB Pant Hospital and the Guru Nanak Eye Centre. This institution is named after the great patriot and educationist, Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad and has been in existence since 1959.

Maulana Azad Dental College and Hospital is located near within the Maulana Azad Medical College Campus and made its inception as a "Dental Wing" in 1983 and two decades later on 26th September 2003 was upgraded to its its present status of a full-fledged Dental College and Hospital.

Dental Council of India is a Statutory Body incorporated under an Act of Parliament viz. The Dentists Act, 1948 (XVI of 1948) to regulate the Dental Education and the profession of Dentistry throughout India and it is financed by the Govt. of India in the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (Department of Health) through Grant-in-aid. The General Body of the Dental Council of India representing various State Governments, Universities, Dental Colleges, Central Government, etc.
